In short: Sick kids are calmer at home. So are their parents. A house call lets your child be seen in their own bed, in their own pajamas, without a waiting-room full of other germs.
Common reasons families call us: fevers, ear infections, sore throats, coughs, stomach bugs and dehydration, rashes, pink eye, minor injuries, lice checks, and back-to-school physicals. We bring rapid strep, flu, and COVID tests, ear and throat exam tools, and can write prescriptions directly to your pharmacy.
Why home is better for kids: no exposure to other sick patients, no overstimulating fluorescent waiting room, no fight to get them in and out of the car. Our physicians take the time to meet your child where they are — on the floor with a stuffed animal, if that's what works.
When to call us: fever lasting more than two days, ear pain, sore throat with fever, persistent cough, vomiting or diarrhea with reduced wet diapers, unexplained rash, or a sick child you simply don't want to drag out of the house.
When to go straight to the ER: trouble breathing, blue lips, severe dehydration, a stiff neck with fever, seizure, head injury with vomiting or loss of consciousness, or an infant under 3 months with any fever. When in doubt, call 911.
For everything in between, we're a phone call away: 1-888-933-3305.
