What Actually Happens During a Concierge House Call

A first-time walkthrough of an in-home doctor visit — from the knock on the door to the follow-up note in your inbox.

In short: A concierge house call feels less like a medical appointment and more like a thoughtful conversation with a doctor who happens to have a full bag of clinical tools.

Before the visit: You call, text, or book online. Our team gathers a brief history, confirms the address, and gives you a realistic arrival window — usually within a few hours, often sooner.

When the doctor arrives: They sit down with you. No clipboard rush, no 7-minute timer. You'll talk through symptoms, history, medications, and goals. The exam happens wherever you're most comfortable — kitchen table, bedroom, hotel suite.

What they can do on-site: vital signs and full physical exam, rapid strep, flu, COVID, and UTI tests, EKG, pulse oximetry, blood draws sent to a major lab, IV fluids and injectable medications, wound care and suturing, ear cleaning, and prescriptions sent electronically to your pharmacy.

After the visit: You receive a written visit summary, lab results as they return, and a direct line to your physician for follow-up questions. If specialty care is needed, we coordinate the referral.

Most visits run 45 to 60 minutes. You'll never feel rushed, and you'll never sit in a waiting room. That's the entire point.
